Field and Clinical Research Unit

 

  This unit was established in 2008 and its aim is supporting researches that are performing out of PRC in hospitals or in medical care centers or in the society.  Currently Kerman Coronary Artery Disease Risk factors study (KERCADRS) is under investigation.In the third phase of this project a population of 10000 people of Kerman (aged 15-80) are recurrited to gather the information of 9 risk factors of coronary artery disease including serum lipids, physical activity, smoking, opium use, diabetes, overweight and obesity, anxiety and depression, hypertension, oral and dental hygine and diet regimen. Based on this basic information an interventional study will be performed to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease in the population. The effect of the intervention will assess in later studies.
